This Gala, featuring Stanford University Professor Elisabeth Paté-Cornell as keynote speaker, will close a day of conferences and celebrations honoring the 100th International Women’s Day. Dr. Paté-Cornell is a world leader in research related to engineering risk analysis, risk management, decision analysis under uncertainty and a distinguished engineering, mathematics and consulting specialist.

This year’s theme is “EQUALITY ACROSS THE BOARD: EMPOWERING WOMEN AND GIRLS”. The Summit will focus on five of the twelve key areas of concern identified in the United Nations 1995 Beijing Declaration which was unanimously adopted by the representatives of the 189 countries attending the 1995 United Nation’s Fourth World Conference on Women.
