For the March edition of the monthly French networking event in the Silicon Valley, DBF featured Freddy Mini, CEO of Netvibes.
Before joining Netvibes as COO, Freddy had various and exciting experiences in France and the US. His passion for high-tech led him to found several companies in France, starting with a little IT consulting startup in the South of France. More recently, he co-founded musicMe, the first music search service. He also served as VP at AltaVista and Senior Director at Lotus US.
After leading Netvibes’ international business development – including the establishment of its US office in San Francisco in 2006, Freddy was appointed as CEO in May 2008. He now manages the expansion of this innovative pionneer in personalized homepages, which gathers a global community of millions.
Freddy riveted the audience with anecdotes drawn from his fascinating life and career, from his first Commodore 64 to recent Netvibes innovations. Following his entertaining talk, we had the chance to chat with him around a glass of wine.
