Fruition is a Technology Enabled Information Business. The data is captured by a suite of sensors, which is delivered to winemakers via a web-based application. These sensors measure both physiological and physical parameters characterizing the vine. Fruition’s first product is an application which enables the winemaker to see the real-time status of his vineyard and to make decisions about irrigation and canopy management. This web-based application is a platform that is designed to integrate data from any hardware providers.
In 2007, market validation of the need for data was achieved. The web-application has been created and tested. Fruition Sciences signed in March 2008 three paying customers in California and is now live with these customers. In order to also penetrate the European and Southern America markets, Fruition just started a pilot site in Spain and is also in the process of setting up pilot sites in Chile.

In addition to these commercial progresses, Fruition Sciences is a YEI winner, finalist of the TREMPLIN competition in France and recently was awarded 250,000 euros by the minister of research and technology in France. Fruition plans on creating a company in France to do research and development and access the european market.”
